Refugees probably aren’t so prominent at the moment in Lane Cove, but old people are! Maybe collect a group of people from church and visit a local nursing home together once a month or once a fortnight. Or even volunteer at a nursing home once a month.

If you are passionate about refugees, maybe it’s something to think about long term. You could eventually move out to an area where refugees settle and maybe even use your elite teaching skills as a volunteer to provide extra tutoring for refugee kids or something like that.
